![]() Dave started his day reading the Bible, doing devotions and praying he was a man of faith.ĭave is survived by his soul mate, of 57 years, Patricia Herold Paraska. In his retirement, he enjoyed simulated flying and building puzzles.ĭave graduated from Butler High School in 1960, and Youngstown State University in 1966.ĭave attended Community Alliance Church. He was a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association for over 50 years. His son, Steve, continues as the third generation of Paraska Builders.ĭave loved flying private small planes he soloed when he was sixteen, and acquired his commercial license, initially starting with United Airlines, until his desire to continue the family business called him to follow his heart which was in Butler designing homes. In the 1990’s, he partnered with his son, Steve Paraska, until his retirement. Paraska, then took over the business in 1971 after the death of his father. He started building in 1958 with his father M. He designed and built over 400 custom homes and businesses in the Butler area. The family would like to thank the ICU doctors and nurses for their care of Dave after emergency heart surgery.ĭave was born in Butler to the late Michael Carl Paraska and the late Helen Olga Walsh Paraska.ĭave was the owner of Paraska Construction. Paraska, 77, of Butler, Pennsylvania, passed away on Januat the Butler Memorial Hospital. Private funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hile Funeral Home of Karns City. Memorial contributions in David’s memory may be made to The Butler County Humane Society, 1015 Evans City Rd., Renfrew, PA 16053. Interment will be in Bear Creek Cemetery, Petrolia. Kelly, his brother, William Kelly, a sister, Marian Jack his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Frank and Dorothy Klugh, as well as a number of brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Jeremy D. “Jim” and Mae Klugh of Sugar Grove, as well as a number of nieces and nephews. five great grandchildren, Shaylin, Adelin, David, Dax, and Emma his step grandchildren, Melanie Everetts and her husband, Rob, of Chicora and Timothy Risinger of Butler three step great grandchildren, Alex, Miranda, and Brayden a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, William J. ![]() Swasey and her husband, Jim, of Cranberry Twp. Byers of Long Island, NY, and Cassandra L. File and her husband, Mark of Karns City, Michaila G. Byers and her husband, Mike, of Karns City four grandchildren, Travis E. Kelly and his wife, Sheree, of Bruin a daughter, Cindy L. ![]() “Dottie” Klugh Kelly, whom he married at the Karns City United Methodist Church on March 16, 1956. Dave was an avid animal lover and was very fond of many “faithful companions” throughout the years.ĭave is survived by his wife, Dorothy E. He enjoyed walks in the woods, junking, most especially around old oil leases. He was a long time active member of the Karns City United Methodist Church, having served on nearly all church committees and quietly worked around the church fixing up and helping out wherever he could. He had been employed at Armco in Butler as a machinist, retiring in 1996 following 40 years of service. He was a 1952 graduate of Bruin High School and was a U.S. ![]() He was the son of the late Henry and Esther Bowser Kelly. “Dave” Kelly, 89, of Karns City, went to be with the Lord late Wednesday evening, Jin the comfort of his home while surrounded by his loving family.ĭavid was born in Bruin on March 13, 1934. ![]()
